Pesticides are used for many different things, mostly to manage insects and weeds from crops etc. Pesticides are not all the same. They have different chemical ingredients depending on what they are designed to treat. Whatever the chemical ingredient though, pesticides can still be hazardous to humans and animals.
What kinds of health issues could come from exposure to pesticides?
Again it depends on the kind of pesticide you are exposed to as different chemicals used for each pesticide will be the determining factor to which type of health problem you could face.
Some of the health issues that can be caused exposure to pesticides are very varied and could be anything from cancer to issues with your nervous system. There are some types of hormonal problems that can also arise from this.
Some of the symptoms could become evident immediately, while other problems could take some years to manifest themselves.
Symptoms also have a wide range of severity, anything from very mild to very severe.
You could experience some of the more mild symptoms such as headaches, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue. Some of the more serious symptoms can be things like difficulty breathing, chemical burns, as well as finding it difficult to control muscles.
Its important to realize though that although these are just a few of the many possible symptoms of pesticide poisoning, they could also be the result of many other health problems unrelated to pesticides. Make sure you keep in mind, when analyzing your symptoms is if you think you might have had exposure to any dangerous pesticides.
