This is a very good time of the year to check the trees on your property for winter storm damage or other potential issues. If winter weather raged particularly hard against your property, chances are good that your trees bore the brunt of the onslaught. Heavy snow, ice, or wind may have caused tree branches to crack or split. It’s a good idea to remove those to prevent them from falling on passersby or valuable belongings.

Spring is a good time to look for issues with your trees because dead branches (or altogether dying trees) are easily spotted. You can also get an easy idea of which trees are becoming overgrown, perhaps too close to your gutters or power lines.

It’s also a very good idea to enlist the help of a professional when it comes to taking care of the trees on your property. Serious accidents or losses can easily result if the work is not done properly.
