Chances are good that since you’ve grown into adulthood, you’ve given up on the romantic notion of playing in a pile of leaves in the middle of Autumn. Now, as a mature, adult homeowner, you perhaps look at the fallen leaves in your yard with a feeling of disgust and frustration, recognizing the amount of work it will take to rake up all of those leaves. Outside of paying someone else to do it for you, is there anything else you can do to make dealing with the leaves any easier?

For one thing, you might just try not removing all of them. While it’s true that extensive leaf cover can be damaging and unsightly, moderate leaf cover is not particularly damaging to the grass, and can even protect it from winter damage, to some extent. Alternatively, you might invest in a different tool, like a leaf blower or a bagging attachment for your lawnmower.
