It’s part of living in the North – Winter. Cold, snow, ice, and everything else that comes with it. I am not going to lie, it can be pretty uncomfortable doing a home inspection some winter days. But it begs the question: Is there any advantage to getting a home inspection done in the winter? The answer is actually yes. How so?
For one, think about why a home is even built – to keep us from the elements. And the elements are rarely harsher than they are in the winter time. The cold moves and stresses things, the snow add weight and moisture, animals and pests try there hardest to get in. In reality, if you want to test your fortress walls, wait until it is under siege – and that is exactly what happens in the winter time!
